Memorial Day facts:
2013 Safe Boating and Fishing Festival
The festival will feature free pontoon boat rides, free motorboat rides and free sailboat rides provided by the Mohican Sailing Club. Free kayak rides also will be available courtesy of Fin Feather and Fur. Safe boating displays and information also will be presented and officials from numerous organizations will be on hand to answer questions and distribute information. The Ohio Department of Natural Resources’ (ODNR) Division of Wildlife will provide an area near Pleasant Hill Marina for free fishing for children, providing poles, bait and instruction. 2013 Ham of the Year
This year's Ham of the Year is Bill Martin - N8TQ. Danny thanked Bill for his dedication to Amateur Radio. Congratulations Bill!

ReminderJust a reminder- There is no May meeting. It slipped onto the calendar that there was a meeting on Friday evening. That is not correct and has been removed. On Thursday, May 9, the Annual Ham-of-the-Year Banquet will be held at Dutch Heritage/Der Dutchman restaurant in Bellville. The meal will start at 6pm. Please plan to attend to find out who is the top Ham this year.
Mark your calendar- The June meeting of the IARC will be held June 7, 2013 at the Richland County Sheriff's Office/EMA Office/Peoples Community Center. The meeting will start at 7:30pm. At this meeting we will take nominations and vote on officers for the club. Nominations are needed for all offices- President, Vice President, Secretary and Treasurer. There is also one Board of Directors position available. If you are interested in an office, please plan to attend the meeting. All club members are eligible to hold an office.

On Thursday, May 9, members and guests attended the annual Ham of the Year banquet held at the Der Dutchman Restaurant in Bellville, Ohio. After dinner and some fellowship, President Danny Bailey presented the awards.
